Sunday Stash

I was able to get my hands on the very wonderful Woodland Wonderland by Jay McCarroll. He is a winner of Project Runway. Just a little tidbit for you. Anyway, I love this fabric. So fun, the deer do look a little strung out, but I love this stuff. I mixed it with some Amy Butler and made some fun blocks. Now I am having a difficult time deciding on sashing colors. I am going between gray, white or getting more of the strung out deer. HELP!

My Boy and his Backpack

When it comes to things I make, Wyatt is my biggest fan. He is not a huggie Love kinda kid, but he sure can show you how much he appreciates the thing that are made for him. He has been asking me for a pirate backpack. So last week I finally got around to making it for him. I think he has told me how much he loves it every day sense. His fashion sense is definitely off a bit though. I think the kid would live in jammie pants if I let him.

My wonderful friend Katy made that robot for him for Christmas and he has slept with it every night. He loves the things that are made for him. Now I need to finish his pirate quilt.

Sleepy

I have been so sleepy the last week. It seems like every night I end up with a little boy climbing in bed next to me. Being that this little boy is 3 1/2 we took his plug away. Also know as a pacifier. I guess I was having a hard time letting go of that baby-ness. It is sad when your baby starts acting like a little boy. But little boy he is and so it was time. But with no plug sleep doesn't come as easy and last as long. So I in turn don't sleep as well. And then along with babies turning into little boys I have been suffering with super fun allergies. I can't take anything because I pass out and with 3 little people in my life sleeping when they are not isn't an option. So I am kinda a walking zombie lately.

What have I been working on? Well, hats, quilts, bags.

Madelyn got this super cool hat knitter thing for Christmas. So we have had a great time making hats.

This is my little sneak peek of and swap that I am doing with the beautiful LauraJ I will show more latter. I am almost finished then in the mail it goes. I can't wait to see what she has been working on.

Bye for tonight. Talk soon.

sunday stash

Flea Market Fancy by Denyse Schmidt.
This has got to be one of my favorite fabric lines ever. I have had all these fat quarters for a few years now. I am still looking for the perfect quilt pattern. One day I will get brave and cut into my wonderful bundle.

School starts again tomorrow. I am not ready for the early morning rush yet. One more week off, please. I do get more done in my day one child less for a few hours. But I really do like having my kiddo's all in one place.
This week I need to break down and take all the Christmas stuff down and pack it all away for another year. It always makes me sad to see it go. It is all so cheery and warm and nice. But Santa and trees and snowmen wouldn't be so wonderful if they were out all the time. So into the box they will go at some point this week and life will get back to normal. And I will not have chairs in funny places.
