My Little Boy Is 5 Today

I can hardly believe my boy is 5. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LITTLE PIRATE. He is fending off monsters I didn't even know we had living in our garage. He is fully armed with his monster killing hanger, his pirate pants and his backpack. He has recruited his little brother who isn't feeling good to help with the monster killings. What a great birthday. We will be having pizza, brownies and carving pumpkins tonight after Daddy gets home from work

treat bags for a birthday boy

I am having a hard time with my boy turning 5. He really was just a baby. This is a picture of one of the many treat bags I am working on for his birthday party.

That super cute little tree trunk is the wonderfully amazing quilt I received from mypurplecrayon for the Out Of The Box theme. I am loving the 6" mini quilt swap. It is just to much fun. I need to get her package to her.
I spent most of yesterday cutting out crayon rolls, checkbook covers and credit card wallets for the craft show in December. I feel like I have gotten nothing done. I guess it is because I have no finished products from all the work. I don't like that feeling. I should feel like I got a lot done. I cut out 10 small and 10 big crayon rolls, 10 checkbook covers and 8 card wallets. Now it is on to the sewing. But I am taking today off to work on some treat bags for W's birthday party.

I am using the wonderful tutorial by the wonderful Pink Penguin I am doing 7 pirate ones and 3 girly ones. Well may be 4 there is a family with a little baby girl. Man there is a lot of piecing on these. I'll get a picture up when I have some finished.

A Giveaway- but not mine.

Check out this beautiful quilt. She is just giving it away. WOW

Feeling Better

My arm is feeling better. Still a little swollen, but very little pain and I can feel my fingers once again. Happy me. And I only cheated with the sewing thing a little. Well the sewing part didn't hurt it was using the cutter and ruler that hurt. But all is good.

I have done a few crayon rolls for the craft show. I have many to go, but its a start.

This is the wonderful package I got from John for the 6" mini quilt swap. I love it all. I still have to get his in the mail. Sorry John.

This is a quilt I am working on for a cute little red head boy. This is one thing I will soon be able to cross off my Christmas list. Its a long list. I need to get moving.

So Sad, No Sewing For Me

So I can't use my sewing machine for another week and a half. I slipped and fell in my kitchen and hit my arm on the wall, then the floor. Thankfully I did not brake anything. I have been put on light duty because of nerve damage. Something about crushing them and giving them time to heal. I am trying to be good, but it is hard to do. I am doing a small craft fair at Maddie's school and I have been working on thing. Now I am at a stand still. Sad me.
