I made it, and so did He.

Hubby made it home safe and very sleepy. Over 12 hours of driving a day for 2 days. I have done that drive once. There is nothing to see in so many places along that stretch of road. I think the most interesting thing was the roadkill. Things this Cali girl has never seen. Porcupine and armadillo. I have to say an armadillo with his legs in the air was one of the funniest thing I have ever seen. I think I laughed for 20 min. OK, my bad sense of humor is showing.

This is me and my Baby. My baby is going to be three on the 15 of June.

I need Coffee. Got to go.

Today

So I made it through another night. I fell asleep on the couch watching a movie and doing some sewing by hand. I have no idea where my needle went though. Today I kept myself busy with little fabric baskets. I found a tutorial on a cute blog. http://pinkpenguin.blogspot.com/ . They were fun to work on.

I don't know what got into the kiddos but they were wild and crazy today. It was just to hot to go outside so they spent the day driving me nuts. Now we get to work on picking up bedrooms. yuck.

Owls and such.

So it just me and the kids for a few days. Hubby went on a quick trip to Cali to pick up a car and drive it back home. I am a big baby about staying home alone. The few time I have had to, he has only been as far as a 3 hour drive. Never so far away. And the one person we know on our street went with him to help drive back. So here I am, a big chicken all alone. I think I stayed up till 2ish last night, I kept hearing things and couldn't sleep. I know it was nothing but still. 2 nights to go.

To keep my mind off aloneness I have been working on a few things. My English paper piecing for the June 6" quilt swap, no pics yet, a fun little swap quilt for a new friend and this very fun little owl quilt for my dear friend Katy. She has no idea how much our ramblings have meant to me. Moving so far away from family has been hard and I always get so excited to see her name in my email box. It is a long distance friendship but it has helped with my sanity. So thank you Katy for just being there when I have needed to talk to someone.

The Happy Boy

Sleepy

We got up at 4am this morning to take the daddy to the airport. He is picking up a car in California and driving it back here. So I get to stay home with kids and he gets to spend the weekend with MY family. BooHoo. Now I have to decide to send Maddie to school or just let her stay home. They get out at 11:30 today so she wouldn't be missing much.

The one good thing about getting up so early is Starbucks gets up early too. Happy me. Sleepy me, but happy.

I have to say how much I love Katy from imagingermonkey. We have had fun sending things to each other but this time she made me cry. I knew about the wonderful quilt with the girl standing in the rain, but the pirate was a complete surprise. We are working on our boys room Wyatt picked a pirate theme. Chatting with Katy one day I said something about it, then Wyatt got that amazing pirate quilt to put on his wall. when he opened his quilt up he started yelling *THANK YOU KATY* as loud as he could. Then he looks at me and asked if i thought she heard him. Too cute. It made me cry.

And the London stuff was just to much fun. I love mail.

Now I have to finish the stuff I have going for her.

I did it...I think.

I don't know if I am doing this right, but here we go.
Ok, so this is a Quilt that I just finished For my little girls teacher. It was a fun thing for Maddie to give. She had her teacher in a weepy state by the time I went home.
I did forget to put the date on the label.
